Prateek sir belongs to an affluent Marwari business family from Rajasthan. After hustling for years and launching many startups, Prateek Sir finally joined PW as a cofounder. So he wasn’t new to the game. Alakh Sir saw something special in Prateek. They both shared a dream of making quality education affordable for everyone. But there was another reason Alakh brought Prateek Sir on board. He was a tech genius! He could not only build things but also lead a team.

It wasn’t always smooth sailing though. The fact is, Prateek had approached Alakh first, way back in 2018, with the idea of an app. Alakh wasn’t quite convinced then. But fate (or maybe COVID-19) intervened. A few weeks later, as the lockdown extended, the tables turned. Alakh Sir, I now need an app for PW, so I went to Prateek. Prateek, who was then running his own company (PenPencil), took on the challenge. They finally built the app and it was launched it May 2020. There were initial errors and glitches with the app and it crashed during live classes. But Prateek Sir handled the situation very calmly and today PW is held high.
